Why does my iPod Touch keep losing bluetooth connection?

My iPod Touch (16 GB) continuously loses its connection to my Plantronics wireless headset. I have tried making sure that both devices are fully charged, but it doesn't seem to matter. I'll be walking along listening to a podcast or some music, and then I hear a little click, and no sound. I press the pause button on my headset and play resumes. Sometimes it will stay connected for 15 minutes, but just as likely it'll lose its connection in 15 seconds. I've tried holding the iPod upside down, and there seems to be some improvement. I tested the headphones with my iPhone, and there's no issue with the iPhone, so I know it's connected somehow to the iPod.

About two months ago, I dropped the iPod, and there is a very slight crack in the glass front. Could this be the issue? Why does it only seem to happen when I'm using it with bluetooth. Can these things be refurbished? Help. I'm sick of interrupted listening.

The dropping could have damaged the internals of the iPod like loosened the Bluetooth antenna connection or similar.

Try the following to rule out a software problem:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price (4G and later only). They do not fix yours.
